Come Closer

cracks crevices , the edge , steely sharp peaks
reaching out , tumbling down, ever green, naked brown
the bare chest of the mountain throbs with a beating heart
come closer

never did i see, quilted beneath trees,  a cliff's eyes, the faces hidden underneath
the thought of them without the warmth of trees always made me sad
but never had i seen
the mountain's withered lines, rivulets trickle down as unseen tears they weep
come closer

This path is treacherous
Stains of grey, pain bleeds from eyes
As if all they see is an everlasting winter
They don't remember the heat, or if they were aflame with a slow burning fire
Igniting her soul

Slowly buried under snow
Frozen heart, famished veins
Icy bones, Pale skin
She wanes like the moon within
But you will never know
For she never will show
The silent sorrow of the willow that weeps
A crying dove with the broken wing
The sighing white birch, swaying once again
Persuasive forbidding wind
Will you ever feel?
The soft sound of autumn leaves
as they fall gracefully back to their ground
