The Godfather of Psychedelic Trance
A tribute,
A line of poetry
An entire book
Wouldn't suffice,
The pages would run out
But i wouldn't be able to fathom the words
That would do justice to the one and only
Goa Gil.
In a dark corner of a room
She sat on the floor,
Ingested with what Alice gave her
It was her first trip down the rabbit hole
Where she would finally be whole
One with the sound, One with the cosmos
Initially afraid of the dark
A maddening vibration entered her fear
Repeatedly reminding her
Of all that would be found
Was the light in the dark
Puzzled by these words
The vibe made me his tribe
Promised, if it got too much
he'd have a place for me to hide
And so she sat beside him, and closed her eyes
There was a pause in time, a moment of serene silence before the blast
And before you could say Boom!
She was gone.
Into the world of the Worldbridger
Little did she know,
She would always be under his divine protection
Entwined between all his sounds,
Bringing trance to life, till the very end of time.
Never was I told,
That if i closed my eyes while drinking the magic potion
there would be
stillness,
A stillness in the eye of the hurricane
The divine eye in the centre would flow forth,
Opening the like a hungry mouth
Waiting to crunch the stars,
Imitating the flames of fire
dancing naked in thundery storm
The field of change and its impermanence
Yet, only one vibratory field to all religions
Evading the.
crisis of the consciousness
Turning off, Tuning In, Dropping Out.
Eyes shut tight, yet the fire burnt bright
Behind the veil of ego, a universe lay ignited
Where thoughts had no room to stay
I watched them dissolve into The Light
A blank canvas stood still, on the frontiers of my new mind
Like Alice, I happily slid down the rabbit hole
Only to find, a wonderland made of sound
Engulfing me,
In a million tuneful rhymes
Did you see me? Did you see me Shine?
As a purple sun smiled and winked at me
Calling me closer to the Divine
